Are you looking for a unique travel experience? I know I was when Jeannie & I (Angela) signed up to experience the French Riviera Cruise on the Royal Clipper - operated by Star Clippers. The Royal Clipper has the proud distinction of being the largest and only five-masted full-rigged sailing ship. With 42 sails, it is an amazing sight to behold. With a passenger capacity of just 227, its big enough to be actively social, yet small enough to find a quiet nook to relax.
We flew into Nice and took a 40 minute transfer to Cannes where we boarded the tender for the ship. The anticipation of not knowing what to expect made this even more exciting.
After a quick check in at the Piano bar we checked out our stateroom. It was nicely appointed with dark wood finishes and an elegant nautical feel.
On this particular French Riviera Cruise we visited Portofino Italy, L'Ile Rousse on Corsica, Calvi on Corsica, Porquerolles, IIsles d'Hyeres,Le Lavandou, St. Tropez Beach, St. Tropez port, and Monaco. The best part of visiting the ports was the variety. You have quaint port cities where you can sip a beverage or ride a bike around the island to very active ports for Kayaking, snorkeling and water sports. Even the back of the ship opens up to do these water sport activities.
I think one of the most memorable parts of this adventure is when they raise the sails. Especially at night. Slowly the sounds of the song "Conquest of Paradise" from the film 1492 begin and the sails rise up into the skies. Colored lights shine on the sails and alternate between red, purple and white. I had chills and tears it was so moving. I found myself humming the tune the rest of the cruise.
Finally, I would like to compliment the staff. They are so friendly and make everyone feel welcome.

My name is Sarah. I'm not only a travel agent but also an "adventure traveler". This was my second visit to South America in 3 years. Words just can't describe how incredible Machu Picchu is. We picked October to visit since its not peak season. New regulations are also in place to decongest the crowds and preserve the sites. So it was not crowded as you can see by my images.
I don't think I really understood what Mardi Gras was all about until I was actually there. Like many of us, I thought it was alcohol induced crazy antics on Bourbon Street, but that is just a fraction of it. We were happily impressed to find out you can do Mardi Gras family style without ever setting a foot on Bourbon.
The experience of a lifetime is how Marva, President of Dolphin Vacations & Tracy explained the safari they took last year. They learned how the strongest survive in the bush. And we didn't even post the most gory images here. They flew from Michigan to Nairobi and spent 8 amazing days in the "wild". The tour was led by Colette, which offers 7 unique guided vacations.
Tracy would love to share her stories with you and show you how affordable this experience can be.
Hi. Welcome to our new blog. My name is Angela and I have been in the travel business for a very long time. It all started the first time I went to New York City with family friends when I was a teen. You know what they say, when the travel bug hits, look out.
